The Greatest Gift of All

At no other season of the year do we feel warmer toward our fellowman. At no other time are we more kind in our relationships and more sympathetic towards other’s needs. At no other time of the year are we more expressive of our love than in the Christmas season.

This is good, because if there is anything the world needs, it is love. Man’s deepest felt need is to be loved. Man’s deepest real need is to be saved from his sins. God answered man’s deepest needs by giving us His Son. The life and death of Jesus Christ shows us the immeasurable greatness of the love of God.

In the Gospel of John, we are told that most men did not receive Jesus. In spite of their rejection, Jesus stayed his course, suffered and died. His act on our behalf revealed the fullness of God’s love and become the means by which those who do repent and receive Jesus as Lord and Savior can receive forgiveness of their sins and have eternal life with Him.

No wonder the angelic choir sang, “We bring you good news of great joy.” Jesus, whose birth we celebrate, is the One—the only One—who can not only save us from our sin, but also meet every need, provide solutions for every problem, and satisfy every longing of our soul. That brings joy—joy, not as the world gives, but as only Christ gives.

This month as we draw near to Christmas Day, we will experience many different joys. Families will gather, gifts will be given and received, meals will be eaten, and good memories will be built for future recollection.

In all of this bustle, let us not forget the greatest reason for our joy. Let us remember that we are celebrating God’s greatest gift to mankind. May we go tell it on every mountain that Jesus Christ is born—born to save every sinful soul, and to make whole very broken heart, every shattered dream, every disappointed life. In Christmas, in the birth of Christ, is found the remedy needed for our human predicament. During this season, who will you seek out and tell about God’s gift of love?

He writes….

In October, I went to Kenya for the first time. I had the privilege of being the main speaker for the Church of Pentecost during their annual National Leaders’ Conference. I have known the host pastor for about 11 years before he was transferred from Ghana to Kenya to serve there as national overseer of the Church of Pentecost.

I spoke to his leaders on topics ranging from winning the war over the flesh, being led by the Spirit of God, and ending with a passionate message on world evangelism. That last session turned into a great time of prayer as we laid hands on each pastor, the elders, deacons, deaconesses, and all other participants. It was an awesome time in the Lord. At the end of the three-day session, they all came individually to express their appreciation for my coming so far to teach them and impart into their lives.

On the last Sunday, we traveled to the Masai land where we were to meet with a group of their churches holding a joint service. Many of their members walked 10 miles or more to attend the church service. This is not a rare occasion, as I was told that they often walk great distances to attend church. They normally begin church by 10 am and will close after 2 pm. They will be praising the Lord, dancing, worshiping, receiving the Word of God, and continue to dance for more hours! I delivered a message I felt was from the Lord on winning the war of love. This turned out to be an important message, because the Masai people have as part of their culture taking revenge themselves for wrongs committed against them. We also were led to pray for the entire church and their work throughout the Masai land.

As I was leaving, I felt great satisfaction knowing that my journey was successful. First of all, because the pastors at the retreat reacted with such affirmation to the messages. Second, we are believing God to send a group of students to Kenya and into the Masai tribal area next year, I needed to go there beforehand to assess the ministry possibilities and see the locations for the crusade and places of ministry. I also needed to have the people get to know me. Not only were they able to get to know me, but on the Sunday I ministered in the Masai church, they gave me one of their traditional neck pieces, which symbolizes their acceptance of me. I believe that a year from now, the Lord is going to do a great work through the team that will go to Kenya.

Thank you for your prayers! You were there with me!
God bless you, Pastor Aaron

The first day of the Women’s Ministry took place in prison. End Time Harvest has a letter from the National Prison Bureau to minister in any prison in all of Ghana. We appeared at the appointed time, but the lady warden delayed letting us in. Finally, she opened the door and greeted us sternly, in accordance with her office. Inside, the residents were waiting, timidly, and the guards stood around them in their stern guard posture. By God’s grace, one of the guards started praise and worship. The Holy Spirit came down! The guards, the residents, and the team were all dancing together. We started off giving each person a rose, including the guards, and telling them that they were special to Jesus. Their hearts opened to hear the messages brought by the ladies.

We offered a time of prayer. Jesus worked by our sides with signs and wonders. When we had ministered to the residents, the guards quickly asked for prayer for themselves! As we departed, we left gifts of personal items for each lady and most of the guards. As we left, we asked the warden if she would like prayer. She did, we prayed, and Jesus melted her heart! You would have to be there to see the change that took place. We were ten roses short for the guards, and promised to bring them back. We did a week later. The warden opened the door immediately with a big smile, and ushered us right in. The Gospel cannot be kept in chains! Hallelujah!

The three ladies on the team presented one message, each taking a part. They moved from who we are in Christ, to how the busy-ness pf our daily life draws us away from our time with Him distorting the truth of who we are in Christ. Stumbling blocks then get set in our life, making it harder and harder to do what God has called us to. The women were presented with ways to get free of their blocks and be all God called them to be.

Our ladies ministered to the women in Pastor Matthew’s church in the village. They were very receptive of the message the ladies brought. We ended our session with them with an incredible Holy Spirit moment of foot washing. Our own ladies were moved as much as they were.

From the village, our ladies went the next evening to minister to pastors’ wives and lady pastors. We went from the transparent simplicity of the village life to a room of ladies who were both knowledgeable and well-versed in scripture. Women are seldom ministered to in Ghana, and these ladies’ hearts were also ripe for the messages delivered through the three ladies on the team.

Ghana Team 2011 Testimonies

What an incredible experience, 10 days in Ghana with Aaron and Grace Anthony. It was great to experience up close and personal their passion and vision for the Kingdom of God in Ghana. The trip involved the full range of ministry opportunities. We were involved in Children’s Ministry, Teens, Prison, Hospitals, Crusades, Local Church and Bible College teaching sessions. It was a privilege to have my boys with me and watch them experience the world and the work of God. We are better equipped to serve because of this trip. Pastor Troy Keaton, Eastlake Community Church, Moneta, VA

For me, Ghana was a very awesome trip. It was my first time to leave the U.S. so it was a huge change. The trip showed me how a lot of the rest of the world lives, and how what you think is just something small — they take as something huge. It was awesome to work with the kids and to see how they just loved everything we did. What I got most out of this trip is that I can, with God, make a difference, and I can change someone’s life for the better. T.J. Keaton, age 14

What a privilege God has given me to come to another country and further His kingdom. One of the main impressions that I will leave Ghana with is the generosity of the people here. They have so little, yet give so much. We in the US have so much, yet give so little. The hearts of the women are so receptive to receive the Word of the Lord. The Ghanaian women work so hard physically, both in their work and nurturing their children. I will surely pray for the country of Ghana and miss the people terribly. I pray that I have the opportunity to return to Ghana. .Mary Anthony – Believers Chapel, Canastota, New York

My experience in Ghana has truly been life-changing! As I met with women and children, I experienced God through the eyes, words and hearts of the Ghanaians. Their simple yet strong faith encouraged me and stretched my faith! I am so grateful for this Ghanaian mission experience. .Pam Sinex, Eastlake Community Church, VA

I am so truly blessed to have been part of this summer mission team to Ghana! This team was truly put together by God and His hand was upon everything we were able to accomplish for the kingdom of God! The ministry was exhilarating and non-stop from the first day. I had the opportunity on this trip to participate in some awesome women’s ministry outreach in several areas as well as the children’s outreach programs. The people of Ghana are so very open and receptive to the message of Jesus Christ! This was my second mission trip to Ghana and look forward to coming back to continue working with the beautiful people in Ghana – it is truly one of the most life changing experiences I have had! Bobbi Parody – NY

I do not think anyone in my school could ever say that they had gone to Africa to speak the word of God and lead people to the Lord! Thank you for everyone who helped out with this and who supported and prayed. It was great! Alicia Koenig, NY Age 15

This experience has been life changing, I am really happy to see the things that God has done through me and the team members. I was honored to be able to come to Ghana, and to be able to work with so many people. I lead many people to the Lord, and prayed for many people. I saw God do many good things. I will miss all the people that I got to work with. Love <3 Ashlee Walker-NY Age 17

Just coming to Ghana is a confirmation that I am supposed to be a missionary. This experience was an amazing one and I will never forget it! Just the people that I have met, and will continue to get to know, has been life changing. Being involved with the kids and seeing their smiling faces is priceless, and I know that their lives will be forever changed. My life will also be changed by seeing how grateful they were!! Just knowing that hundreds of children have heard the Word of God and will continue to spread it to all their friends and families is amazing! I loved this trip and hope to go on many more! With love <3 Courtney Hooven-Life Church, Indianapolis, IN Age 17

This was my second time in Ghana, and it was amazing! I saw and experienced much more this time around than the first time. I saw God healing people, and it was awesome. This trip brought me closer the Lord and improved my devotional life. I had fun with the whole team. I can’t wait to go back <3. Caitlyn Parody-NY Age 20

Night after night, we saw healing, salvation and victory in the tent. The final night, despite the cold, the people stayed on after the service for an additional 30 or 40 minutes dancing and rejoicing in what the Lord has done. It was a wonderful celebration in the Lord!

Children’s Ministry

The children that live in this community are desperate and destitute. Many of them no longer have their real parents taking care of them due to death, predominantly because of the HIV virus.

Our host church, Good News Centre, has been feeding the children in Bottle Brush for the past 10 years. They are feeding 1500 children in a span of 3 days.

We continued to have the privilege of serving them in a small way by packing the food, praying over the food, and then distributing the food to the children.

We were invited one morning to speak to a Christian School from the grades of 1-12. It was a good meeting filled with Ghanaian praise and worship! Then one of our older students, Mr. Coker spoke to the group followed by Abiba, the former Muslim. Afterwards, the team sang a few more songs, and some of the students boldly left their seats to join us on stage and dance with the group. According to the principal, this was quite unusual and she felt that something had been lifted and broken in the atmosphere.

We did not know until later that the school admits anyone, including Muslims, so it was powerful that Abiba, being a convert from Islam spoke, and she spoke very well.

Afterwards, they asked us to pray individually for the lower elementary school children and the entire teaching staff, and it was so sweet to see each member of the team pray for each child one after the other

Phoenix is the largest suburb of Durban. We spent 3 days there ministering in a church there called Zoe Global Ministries. On Sunday, in between the morning and evening services, we went to a more poverty-stricken area and fed all who were willing to come out for food, worship, and the Word. About 100 men, women and children came to receive.

The final night of the revival meeting was awesome, as God’s Holy Spirit moved among the people. After one of our faculty members, Rev. Nelson, had finished his message,, the Lord impressed me to call all the youth of the church forward to pray over them. Testimonies came later how such a spirit of freedom and liberty swept through the church.

God moved sovereignly each night of the revival meeting. Again and again, God confirmed His Word with signs and with wonders. We feel so blessed to see what we have seen. It is an awesome honor and privilege to minister in the name of Jesus. It is a joy for us to see our students step out with boldness in another setting to declare the Word of God. What a joy to see them loving on people that have even less than they have.

Thank you all for your prayers and support of this ministry. We are making an impact beyond Ghana. Give God all the praise and glory!

From the heart of Pastor Aaron

Wait for it… For it shall surely come to pass.” (Habakkuk 2: 3b)

What began as a vision from God in 1993 has now blossomed into a reality, touching lives, who touch other lives, who in turn, touch more lives.

Before any vision can start becoming a reality, there are many activities preparing the way. Such was the case before the opening of End Time Harvest Bible College. Land was searched out, discovered, and purchased in 1999. The work of clearing the land and constructing the first building began in March of 2000. All of this was a big adventure, with God leading the way—sending a “man” appearing from nowhere to take us to the property, and sending another man sitting in a bulldozer one hot afternoon, who volunteered to clear and level the land for the price of his gas!

In January of 2001, End Time Harvest Bible College opened its doors with 10 students, whom we came to affectionately call, “The Pioneers.” During our first semester, the first building had not been completely finished. Everyday class was being held in a different room in order to avoid the work that was going on. Before the semester began, one of the first students passed by and cautiously asked if we were really going to begin the semester on time. To his amazement, classes did begin on time. Now, ten years, later, over 380 men and women have passed through these doors and are now serving the Lord in His Kingdom.

We were determined that End Time Harvest Bible College would be a place where men and women could come into an atmosphere charged with the presence and anointing of the Holy Spirit. For these past ten years, the Lord has been faithful. His presence is experienced through our morning devotions, our weekly chapel services, and throughout the day during classes. We truly are a “School of the Spirit!” People are often drawn up to the school from the road as they pass by.

Most of the memorable occasions happen off campus while the students are involved in ministries both within Ghana and abroad on the foreign mission field. Building the worship center for Ekuasi Prison will always be a highlight for this ministry. It demonstrated to the inmates that we were not merely interested in preaching to them, but we were equally interested in their welfare. We went further than any other ministry had gone before into prison ministry, and God graced us with favor that we may minister in any prison in the entire nation..

Going to Ivory Coast in 2008 was another highlight. Never before had any minister from Ghana or another English-speaking country brought so many pastors (who were our students) to their nation for the purpose of evangelical outreaches. The highlight of the trip was the mad man who was delivered the last night of the crusade. Our true reward was receiving a call from our host pastor in the Ivory Coast who had received a call from the same man, now back in his native country of Benin who said, “Tell End Time, I’m home, and God bless them.”

From 2009-present, we have been able to lead three foreign mission trips to South Africa. God continues to do amazing things whenever we step into that nation—bridging ethnicities, watching God perform miraculous healings, and seeing souls come to the altar. What struck me most last year was the drug addict who came to the front to give up his drugs and surrender his life to Christ right during the preaching of one of our Staff Members!

It has been such a personal blessing for me to see each student come in with such openness and desire to learn. It has been a pleasure to see the less educated have the opportunity to fully complete their course of study, and some even receiving honor distinctions as Valedictorian and Salutatorian. It has been a great journey to see the maturation of the students. As they first enter, many are shy and unsure of themselves and their calling. What a blessing to watch them develop into bold, dynamic ministers of the Gospel.

TEN YEARS! Over 40,000 Ghanaians ministered to… over 20,000 receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Over 380 graduates from over 160 different denominational backgrounds, being raised up as flaming arrows to be released into this dry world spreading revival fire! Ten Years of Miracles! Ten Years of the delivering power of Jesus! Ten Years of souls entering the Kingdom of Heaven! I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years will unfold before our eyes!

February’s crusade was held in a town/suburb named Kojokrom, that lies between Aaron’s home and the Bible College. Even though it is densely populated, it is not a very big town. The population is pretty equally divided between Christianity and Islam. It is mostly inhabited by young people and single parents with high unemployment, thus bringing poverty conditions.

About 100 converts were placed in a relatively new church we are working with. As Aaron passed by their church on that Sunday to visit with the new converts, the original church members were greatly appreciative of the work that was done in their community

Highlights from the March Crusade

Our March crusade was held in the town of Inchaban, right near the Bible College. We were working with about 10 churches this time, so our goal was not only soul winning, but also strengthening the churches there as well. Because of the number of churches we were working with, we decided to hold the crusade for three nights, rather than two.

The first night, about thirty received Jesus as Lord and Savior, and the Lord worked with signs and wonders following the preaching of the gospel. Word got around that Jesus was “in the house. Look at the response to the invitation to receive Jesus the second night! The third night, Aaron preached on holiness. At the altar call to make a stand for holiness, about 300 came forward.

Happy faces from being healed by Jesus!

The first night this child was brought forward for prayer. He had had a high, high fever for days. The fever left the child immediately, and he began to eat. The next day the mother came to testify her baby had been healed.

Holding monthly crusades is giving more opportunity for our students to minister and hone their God-given gifts. Stephen Asare is a Bachelors Degree student graduating this May. He preached very powerfully the second night of the crusade, as evidenced by the number of those making confessions of faith.

Following our Lord’s directive, we prayed and were led to hold our first monthly crusade in a town called Adiembra. It is a Muslim outlying district of Takoradi. Even though it is predominately a Muslim area, at night it is common to see the younger people walking aimlessly and smoking and drinking.

For two weeks prior to the crusade, we took the students to the area to bathe it in prayer and invite people to the crusade. During the crusade, about fifty students were involved, from leading music, working the sound system, interpreting, serving as counselors, serving on prayer teams, deliverance teams, children’s teams, ushers, and altar call ministers.

The crusade went well. A group of Islamic men came to “visit” the second night of the crusade because they did not appreciate the message Aaron preached the night before that Jesus is the only way to heaven. They stayed for a while to make sure that Pastor Stella, our Bachelors graduate of 2009, did not—in their own words, “repeat Aaron’s mistake.” Of course she was preaching the truth from God’s Word as well. When they started to make a “ruckus,” our students encouraged them to remain peaceably or leave peaceably. They chose the latter, but we pray God’s Word entered their hearts, and they will heed the message they heard and come to Jesus.

Among the new converts was a 92 year old man, which shows that you are never too old to receive Jesus! Our students reported healings and deliverance from alcoholism among the people they prayed with. One man who came forward for healing said by the time the crusade was over, his pain left. He said, “It was gone in stages, but praise God it was gone!”

We did not leave the children out! Our converted Muslim student, Afiba, took them to a separate area and shared the gospel on a level they could understand. From the picture, they looked pretty happy about what they heard!

Pictured: Souls receiving Jesus! Children happy to hear the gospel!

Dear Friends and Partners,

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?

I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” (Isa. 43:19)

A new day is upon us! It is always exciting to begin a new year. Let’s look carefully at this text in Isaiah as an encouragement to us all as we begin this new year. This verse begins with the word, “Behold.” This is a word that means, “Look,” “See,” or, “Change your view!” I like the last translation the best. I want to encourage you to change your view as we step into this New Year. We have all heard what the government says, what the television reporters say, and what the newspapers reveal. We are all going through what the economy is telling us. The political world and the media are giving us bad news. But I am here today to encourage you to “change your view!” Focus on the Good News!

The good news is that the work that God has begun in you, He will bring to a completion (Phil. 1:6). While we are still walking through this earth, we are trying to be the best spouse, parent, grandparent, employee, and citizen we can possibly be. Many times, we are going through circumstances that make no sense whatsoever. I want to encourage you today that all things work together for our good (Rom. 8:28), and what the enemy or people mean for our evil, God will use for good (Gen. 50:20). God is working in our lives to get us to His desired end! Everything that we go through, both the good and the bad; our failures and successes, are all used to move us to His desired end.

Let me end by going back to Isaiah 43:19. God said He was going to do a new thing! You may not know how or when, but God is going to do a new thing! First, if you do not know what God wants to do, begin to seek Him. God is a rewarder of those will diligently seek after Him. Secondly, we may not know how, when or where, but God is able to do all things. In the text, it mentions how He can make a way in the wilderness or even a river in the desert. Remember, the Israelites were trapped by two mountain ranges on the sides of them, with pharaoh’s army closing behind them and the Red Sea in front of them. It seemed as though they would be slaughtered. But this God we are serving caused that sea to separate. A way was made for them to go forward, as they all walked on dry ground towards the Promised Land.

This is exactly what God wants to do in your life. Trust in the Lord. I believe the only person that can stop you from getting to where God wants you to go is yourself. Sin cannot stop you, if you repent and run to God for forgiveness. People and the enemy may obstruct you and cause detours, but again, God will use all of these in your life to propel you to your destination.

God wants to do a new thing in your life this year! A new day is upon us! Run towards it! Embrace it! I believe in your life, and in this ministry, God is going to do awesome things! Change your view to God’s view. Walk where God wants you to walk, and do what God wants you to do.

From my family to yours, Happy New Year!

Pastor Aaron Anthony
