Reflections on Ten Years

Tuesday, June 7th, 2011

From the heart of Pastor Aaron

Wait for it… For it shall surely come to pass.”  (Habakkuk 2: 3b)

What began as a vision from God in 1993 has now blossomed into a reality, touching lives, who touch other lives, who in turn, touch more lives.

Before any vision can start becoming a reality, there are many activities preparing the way. Such was the case before the opening of End Time Harvest Bible College.  Land was searched out, discovered, and purchased in 1999.  The work of clearing the land and constructing the first building began in March of 2000.  All of this was a big adventure, with God leading the way—sending a “man” appearing from nowhere to take us to the property, and sending another man sitting in a bulldozer one hot afternoon, who volunteered to clear and level the land for the price of his gas!

In January of 2001, End Time Harvest Bible College opened its doors with 10 students, whom we came to affectionately call, “The Pioneers.”  During our first semester, the first building had not been completely finished.  Everyday class was being held in a different room in order to avoid the work that was going on.  Before the semester began, one of the first students passed by and cautiously asked if we were really going to begin the semester on time.  To his amazement, classes did begin on time.  Now, ten years, later, over 380 men and women have passed through these doors and are now serving the Lord in His Kingdom.

We were determined that End Time Harvest Bible College would be a place where men and women could come into an atmosphere charged with the presence and anointing of the Holy Spirit.  For these past ten years, the Lord has been faithful. His presence is experienced through our morning devotions, our weekly chapel services, and throughout the day during classes.  We truly are a “School of the Spirit!”  People are often drawn up to the school from the road as they pass by.

Most of the memorable occasions happen off campus while the students are involved in ministries both within Ghana and abroad on the foreign mission field.  Building the worship center for Ekuasi Prison will always be a highlight for this ministry.  It demonstrated to the inmates that we were not merely interested in preaching to them, but we were equally interested in their welfare.  We went further than any other ministry had gone before into prison ministry, and God graced us with favor that we may minister in any prison in the entire nation..

Going to Ivory Coast in 2008 was another highlight.  Never before had any minister from Ghana or another English-speaking country brought so many pastors (who were our students) to their nation for the purpose of evangelical outreaches.  The highlight of the trip was the mad man who was delivered the last night of the crusade.  Our true reward was receiving a call from our host pastor in the Ivory Coast who had received a call from the same man, now back in his native country of Benin who said, “Tell End Time, I’m home, and God bless them.”

From 2009-present, we have been able to lead three foreign mission trips to South Africa.  God continues to do amazing things whenever we step into that nation—bridging ethnicities, watching God perform miraculous healings, and seeing souls come to the altar.  What struck me most last year was the drug addict who came to the front to give up his drugs and surrender his life to Christ right during the preaching of one of our Staff Members!

It has been such a personal blessing for me to see each student come in with such openness and desire to learn.  It has been a pleasure to see the less educated have the opportunity to fully complete their course of study, and some even receiving honor distinctions as Valedictorian and Salutatorian.  It has been a great journey to see the maturation of the students. As they first enter, many are shy and unsure of themselves and their calling.  What a blessing to watch them develop into bold, dynamic ministers of the Gospel.

TEN YEARS!  Over 40,000 Ghanaians ministered to… over 20,000 receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  Over 380 graduates from over 160 different denominational backgrounds, being raised up as flaming arrows to be released into this dry world spreading revival fire!  Ten Years of Miracles!  Ten Years of the delivering power of Jesus!  Ten Years of souls entering the Kingdom of Heaven!  I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years will unfold before our eyes!
